Its been about 50 years now since the USA was given a license to practice Sexual Freedom by the likes of Alfred Kinsey/Hugh Heffner/and Elvis Presley ; considering where we are today with it, do you believe it was worth it or not ?
I really don't see anything negative of where we are today when it comes to sexual freedom. I still don't think we have quite enough, with the taboos against consensual incest and polygamy.
I "came of age" during the "free sex" 60's and 70's! Pre HIV-/AIDS. It was fun! No consequences! I pity the youth of today, in that they have to really "think like adults", since not thinking can cost them their lives! We didn't have that problem.
I'm unsure of what you mean by where we are today. Could you explain it, please?
Ok. When i say 'where we are today'...im referring to the fallout/repercussions of sexual immorality ('freedom') which has inundated our society today . Is that more succinct ? Thanks.
sexual freedom was essentially a womans movement not a guy thing. guys were always more than willing. women gained a lota power.
you tell me.
Im referring to the plethera of problems we have today as a result of the casual sex philosophy (what I term : sexual freedom) whereby men and women dont view their sexuality as something sacred, as they did in the past . In light of what we are reaping today from casual sex philosophies, was it worth it from a society standpoint ?
But, we may have different concept of what constitutes problems and what constitutes sacred. I'm sure that I would agree with some, but I cannot tell. Could you be a wee bit more specific? Thanks.
As I wasn't around 50 years ago so I can't say for certain. However, it would seem to me that having the freedom to acknowledge, openly discuss, and engage a natural act (provided the participants are willing) is better than suppressing and trying to pretend it does not exist.

so you are asking me if giving up their innocency and dignity and righteousness was worth it. now being somebodies girlfriend (or lots of guys serial girlfriend) and living on the alimony? they got more personal power, but does personal power make you happy joyful and loving. of course not. it does however make you powerful. and people will die for power, gladly.
