What do you expect them to say, that it's the woman's fault? What person would ever admit they're the reason the sex is bad?

Stereotypically, I think most people presume that men like sex no matter what. To men, there is no such thing as "bad" sex. I'm sure that's not 100% true but I do think men are easier to please when it comes to sex, so it's easy to assume that he's enjoying it while she is not. And that makes it easy to think "she knows how to please him but he doesn't know how to please her" and therefore it's his "fault".
I think you hit the nail on the head with this post!

Most women that I know would consider it to be the man's fault because typically a man has no problem achieving um... a happy ending. Since that is not the case for us women, I can see how they would equate that to bad sex and it would be the man's fault. Not fair, I guess, but neither is the fact that a man may be experiencing the Fourth of July while she is mentally compiling her grocery list!

I engaged in sexual relations with someone who has been attracted to me and I of her. I couldn't wait...but it was weird. Her movements were all off as to how I was use to being with my girl. I'm sure it didn't help that my girl was there, making us both wary of what was ok...lol
But damn I felt like she thought I was bad...and I felt she was bad...sometimes it just doesn't click. I'm glad my girl and I click incredibly orgasmic everytime.

Plus what girl is going to think she is the problem? really now...lol..let's be real.

Some people just don't hit it off sexually and most take a while to find out what the other likes etc. I've never had a relationship where the sex did not get better with practice. (but that requires some pillow talk or other instruction)

That being said, what group of guys\gals is ever going to admit in front of their friends that THEY are the problem?

The #1 complaint I've heard from guys about girls is that the girl is fairly motionless and is on the bottom. Personally, I have always felt that girl on top is better for mutual enjoyment and motion given the relative strength differences involved and the bottom partner having some weight on them. (Without getting into all the other permuations in the interest of PG13)

What's the #1 complaint about guys? Not enough foreplay?

It really depends on who you are listening too. OP was around a bunch of women and of course if they say the sex was bad, its because of the guy. If you talk to a bunch of guys who say sex was bad, it would be because of the woman.

Ive had great sex partners and Ive had terrible sex partners, of course they were all women, but it really depends on the person if its good or bad. The best sex was always with the athletic/fit women who were confident in themselves and their bodies. The worst sex was with the women who were skinny (i,e., not fit or not athletic). I also had great sex with women who were not athletic, but these women were a bit crazy in the head. You know, the psycho crazy jealous types. Bad sex can also be with women who are just not into it or the ones who are not used to someone of my "physical endowment" if you know what I mean.
