Unfortunately, this is the way our society is now. Most people only care about themselves and because of this, the coldness towards others is getting worse. When people are "me" centered, it breaks down a society. How can people be happy when "they" are they only ones on their mind? I`d say that they are not.

See, I would go back and read the threads on this forum that you have originated. If the attitude in those threads are any reflection of how you act towards others, then you should take that as a self-examination moment. And pronto.

Jean-Paul Sartre--"Hell is other people."

I'm happier because I don't relate to other people. Don't have to deal with their problems, their drama.

Yeah I don't either. For somebody who claims to not like the company of others, he sure spends a lot of time on the Relationships forum.

Yeah--but I don't have to put up with you in person, do I? I'm disconnected. You are nonentities, just words on a screen that I can shut off when I leave for work.

Oh, I call baloney on that one. That makes as much sense as saying, "I don't give a rip about stamp collecting. My continual presence on a stamp collecting forum is not evidence of my interest in the subject."

I like to talk--that doesn't mean anyone's listening. I don't really care if they are or not though--I just like to talk.

"Just liking" something is an emotion. If nobody is listening, it would be logical for you to be quiet.
