This post isn;t about just man/woman relationship stuff....it is about PEOPLE as a whole and why they are so closed off? I am SO tired of sticking my neck out to be friends with people and getting nothing back from them but crap!I am just so fed UP! When are people going to wake up and see me for the gem I am? I deserve to be around quality people and I get nothing in return! I wonder if the economy is making people this way? Is that possible? I've just called five poeple to talk and left five messages and got no answers! It ain't me trust me on this one!
Some ppl would blame technology for the disconnect between ppl nowadays. And for the most part I'd agree. Because ppl can leave you a voice msg or text or email or im...or msg on myspace facebook, etc....ppl take for granted other ppls time and feelings. For me no matter what I am doing; whether I got 2 jobs or am really busy I have time to atleast respond to ppl saying Im busy..or Ill call them the next day to see what they wanted. No matter what I got time for my friends....other than technology I think ppl are just lazy and disrespectful.
It has nothing to do with the economy and everything to do with national psychology, if we can talk about the US being a "nation" per se at all... I've always been amazed when I go down to Mexico where you see people much poorer than any of us and yet happy, content, friendly, and social. All it takes for them to have a good time is buy a few beers, park their trucks somewhere, play some music, and talk, dance, and laugh...

Have some beer in a truck in the US???? Can't do it, look at the laws you would be breaking.

I agree completely. If you look at our society people are becoming more distant from each other, and yet we have all kinds of "toys" everything people could want, X-boxes, big screen TV's, the latest cell phone/gadget fancy cars, big houses all the "crap" we could want and yet people are more miserable then ever.
Just look at all of the people on some form of anti-depressants, anxiety meds. I'm not knocking people that use them. I'm just asking the bigger picture as to why???

Heck, I'd love to! Instead of hiding your beer as if you're a big time criminal when you go for a barbeque in a park... I went to a festival out of town last weekend. You know... with all the food vendors and beer normally... Oh, no... this was a totally sober festival! I can't insult my meat with lemonade! Pathetic!

It's a long story, Chow... and not well taken by many if explained by a foreign-born person...
I know I really don't like talking on the telephone unkless its about somethign importnat really. But I do like to visit with friends one on one. Completely different than just sitting on the telephone.
Well w text messaging now all the rage two things have started to bother me...
Those you have just recieved a hug, or whatever texts, now text 48 other people and bother the with it just like i did you...
And the people who think they are saving money by not answering and then texting you a minute later saying what did you call about...and you get into a text back n forth that would have only took TWO MINUTES TALK TIME BUT ENDS UP TAKING TEN MINUTES OF TEXTING BACK N FORTH.
and then theres the ladies that got to answer every phonecall and text even while your just trying to have a brief face to face conversation putting you on hold on the phone or face to face
yes those i do tend to ignore after awhile
but basically i don't control my friends and associates, i only control who continues to be considered my friends by myself
I think it's best to find friends who seem to have my same values, not ones i want to instill in them
Yes I've noticed that too. WTH is wrong with people these days in the USA!!

Even though it isn't personal, it still is very frustrating.
