I flirted a lot more when I was younger (more hair, less weight!   ). But, I'm older now, and married. So, I'm more considerate when I do flirt, and it's a LOT more subtle and definitely a lot less than when I was younger. I make sure that someone knows it is JUST flirting, nothing that could get me into trouble.
My thought is, if my wife saw me doing it, would she get mad? She's a reasonable woman and know that people flirt for fun. But, there's a line, and I'm very careful not to cross it. |

I agree.....my problem is that I assume ppl know i'm not serious......I guess I should clarify that more often  . I agree with your view point, I wouldn't do anything behind my husbands back that I wouldn't do right infront of him.....he knows i'm outgoing and he doesn't try to change that about me.....he's so amazing.  |

Hmmm... I talk to strangers all of the time and I suppose that could be considered somewhat flirty. But at the same time, I'm not at all interested in dating them but if they were really interesting, I'd be willing to start a casual acquaintance with them. So I make sure that I never lead a guy on, I definitely don't want a date with him. That just isn't my comfort level. I'd want to get to know him first as a friend before considering a romantic date with him. The only purpose of my being flirty with strangers is to make new friends, not get dates.
So if I were single and met a guy that I really clicked with personality wise and interests, if he wanted to date me, a good start would be telling me about some upcoming event that I might like to go to also. Not to go to together, but just letting me know that he would be there too. I would hope to see him there with other friends... and no girlfriend (lol). I would go with a girlfriend. And that would be a low key way for me to get to know more about him and the friends he has. And I would want him to get to know me better as a person before asking me out on a date also.

Yup, I flirt with men constantly, except for married ones of course. I find flirting to be fun and yeah Im good at it. Its just charm and wit.
