Attraction is attraction. You're much more charming and funny and everything you want to project to a willing participant. Learning whose willing in the first place will save you loads of time and trouble. You say you're not good at it even when they initiate in public? I'd say you get uncomfortable when surprised and all tongue tied. You have to relax and learn to let it flow naturally, not exactly like you robert deniro rehearsed it in a mirror.You can practice speaking less and smiling and laughing more at her advances. They want to do most of the talking anyway!

I don't flirt anymore unless I'm at a gay nightclub. That is just for fun. Not usually anything serious.
A gay dude was flirting hardcore with me at a restaurant the other day.....so I pretty much assumed he just wanted a bigger tip.....did he get one? No he did not. Now, if he opened up and had a polite conversation with me and seemed sincere about getting to know me. Then yes he would have gotten a bigger tip. He actually got a very modest tip instead. ROTFL...

I don't initiate it, but I'll give a lady a genuine compliment if she says something nice about me or gets flirty. I'm not really old enough to tell whether women are just being friendly/playful with me or if they are genuinely interested. I've been wrong both ways, so I usually assume it's just friendly unless she's really persistant. Foward women are hard to come by and life would be so much easier if people would stop beating around the bush. Of course, putting yourself out there though also involves the risk of being shot down so it's understandable why people are so chicken ****.
