last year I got her a music box. she seemed to like it. this year I was thinking about some Nutcracker tickets for her and her family to go to during the Christmas season. What are some sweet gifts you've given to a female friend or received (if you are a woman)?
I think Nutcracker tickets are nice. It says I want you to have fun and I respect your family. A gift card for a special indulgence (like Starbucks or a restaurant) is always nice too.
Pick something very ordinary that she would use everyday and buy her the expensive one. Most of tend not to splurge on our everyday items.
For example I would not pay $40 for an umbrella but I would appreciate it if someone gave me a nice one. What does she use everyday that could use an upgrade. .
Food is always good. How about one of those gourmet baskets from Harry and David. Cant remember the name but theres a company that sells some kind of special steaks. Or you could make your own basket.
I have been given gift certificates for a manicure and pedicure at nice salons... a night at a cooking class (loved it!)...a wine tasting class (loved it too much!)...tickets to see my favorite author...
I had a sweet neighbor up at the lake, he was 15 years older than I was. A few years ago when he was sort of teaching me to fish he hand made a set of fishing flies for me. There were so pretty I couldn't bear to use them. But the fact that he made them meant a lot to me.
I always think a good book is a nice gift. Especailly a subject they know you enjoy.
I've given a really nice piece of art to my good friend......she loved it.
