I love long hair on men. So, why not hang in there and let your hair grow? You could continue wearing hats until your hair is long enough for a ponytail, or you could work with a hair stylist who will help you find a good transitional style while your hair grows. I had the same dilemma when I was growing my afro. Women have it easier, I think. During my transition, I had a lot of fun with ethnic scarves and head wraps.

Length does not matter. Cleanliness and whether or not it is kept tidy is the issue. Many men with long hair do not bother to care for it as they should and it looks stringy or greasy or uncombed, and that is decidedly unattractive.

One caveat: if you're balding, forget trying to disguise it and for god's sake don't wear long hair with a chromedome. Shave it and keep it smooth.

I actually like the slightly buzzed hair cut with groomed or chunky sideburns. That is really hot and is my favorite. I guess because it is masculine.

Cherub hair is cute too lol.

Rock star is hot. (No I am not talking Ozzy Osbourne hair. Think Tommy Lee or Dave Navarro)
