Would a man date an unemployed woman? I always wondered about that. I would say no!

I'd say most of them don't care as long as they have the hots for her.

I would not date a man that was unemployed when we met...it would be another story if he became unemployed after we were involved in a relationship.

Working with per diem, I pay everything by credit card and keep receipts to track all of my expenses in Excel. I have accounted for everything I spent since April 2007, so I know how much I spent / saved weekly and monthly. It's like I never saved over $2000 a month, on $1069 weekly paychecks. I spent money on good stuff, and my theory is once I have good stuff I won't need to buy it again and will eventually stop spending. But I wonder why I have over 80 skirt suits!
If feel like giving myself a chance and hitting on women, but I can't pay for anything.
Well, there are lots of women that flirted with me but wonder why I didn't hit on them. It was because at the time I was unemployed. Now, I'm getting old at 39, and youth is slipping, I gotta start dating.
And in the end, it'll be better for me to be married even if we don't have kids. My parents and aunt will die, so I gotta have somebody in life or I'll be a loner!

I might have some experience on this...
Except for some brief periods, for the most part I've been in and out of jobs and while I wasn't unemployed that long I didn't really have great jobs but I never noticed any problems meeting women in any of those times.
I think as long as you show you're a productive person most women should be understanding. Besides nowadays alot of women get better opportunities than men so they should be prepared for things like that

Not really... I'd be extremely wary of men who are constantly in and out of jobs and on the move! I mean, if I plan anything half-as* serious with them. That's a very revealing unpleasant pattern of lack of commitment to anything at best and other personality traits better not discussed right now at worst. I don't understand why you're complaining of the disposable culture you're very much a part of...

And then I reason, after I was unemployed some time I did become a winner and get a good job. So now I say I should give myself a break and even date women when I'm unemployed. But then I'd have to go dutch and can't pay for them; only for me - gotta be the only way unemployed.
How do you feel about this, women? What were your expereinces?
How about unemployed guys dating experiences too? How the women take it?
It's hard having life on hold unemployed.

they should not but they will. my former boss would not date unless he was an unemployed biker borrowing money from her. a decent guy with a job turned her off cold as ice. for some women, there is something very sexy about a loser.
