Sorry. I avoid discussing details for various reasons. Not one of yours, though (countries, I mean).

If unemployed, unless he is retired, won the lotto, gained an inheritance, or whatever miscellaneous reason. . . no, I will not date him. I do not date men that have jobs, I date men that have careers. If during our relationship he loses his position, no problem, I'll stand by his side, that is something else at a more elevated level in the relationship. However, if John Doe turns out to be a job hopper, he can hippity-hop on his own. Instability is irresponsibility, and like myself, I expect my partner to have moxie, be savvy, resourceful, and intelligent enough to have a plan B.

I am sure you will not have a problem finding a welfare queen in the innercity that would not mind dating a guy who does not have a job.

I wonder how many women would stick with guys with just plain runs of bad luck

Define "bad luck?" I believe that each person, to a large degree, determines their own course/path. Things get thrown into our paths on occasion, but are you talking about "bad luck" as in back-to-back-to-back-to-back pitfalls?

Haha, I doubt a girl would care with me -- I don't have to be employed the rest of my life if I don't want. I'm self-employed anyway, which is often lumped into unemployed It all depends on your situation. I work because I enjoy what I do, I want to make more money, and what else would you do besides work? I mean it's great to accomplish things and work hard, I really like it. I usually push myself very hard, 60+ hour weeks. But I do so because I have goals and ambitions, not for the money. I don't need that.

Exactly. For example a string of firings for no explainable reason...
