This may sound like a foolish question but I was wondering what are some of the reasons why some of the single folks are single.
ME: It's really tough for me to actually like someone enough to want to became involved with long term. Long term relationships are serious business and I just cannot get involved with someone that I "half way" like.
Sometimes I wonder if I am actually capable of a long term relationship. The older I get the harder it seems it is for me to truely enjoy someone.
No, I am not saying ALL the women I meet I feel this way but I have met my share of women that I felt this way about.

Ron, man, consider yourself lucky!!! If I could be single, I'd value my single-ness so much and protect it like it was gold!
Like anything else it's what you make of it. I think I can make something fun out of it. Some people focus on the loneliness and that can make it difficult but if you use the singleness wisely it can be a wonderful learning experience, a chance to find yourself and a chance to savor your complete independence. And that is what makes it gold.

Oh, I would definitely NOT be the lonely, scared single person. I have so many friends and acquaintances and just a lot of stuff to fill up my life with. Hell - my life is already filled up with all the stuff I do now! Being involved in the competitive ballroom dance circuit, I literally know people from all over the world and I would definitely not be lonely because to me dance is life and where ever I went or whatever I did, I would always end up at some dance somewhere. Oh, plus I have my parrots - we're a flock. Then there's those rotten kids ...

Omg! I have rotten kids, too! I would so not be lonely if I was single.
Hmmmm....isn't that an obvious answer? Since I divorced, I've not been in a relationship with anyone where we mutually desired marriage, to each other. Perhaps I am simplifying too much. I am very independent...maybe even to the point of being selfish with my time. So I guess I have yet to meet a man that meant enough to me, that could deal with my independent nature. But I hope I do at some point, as I truly don't want to live alone the rest of my life.
