I saw this on MSNBC.com, and had to repost it on this thread!

So, is it, or is it NOT OK, to marry a friend's ex-lover (assuming you've known your friend for 8+ years)?

I might be getting back to you on this one.

My highschool classmate and his wife are divorcing. He and I have already had a sit down about this. She want's to date me. It's cool with him...now. I won't even entertain the idea at the moment because they are still married, although he has moved in with a g-friend and all that. In a weird way he figures one of his best friends wouldn't be such a bad idea, but I have serious reservations.

Depends on a lot of things...but aren't you jumping the gun a little? You haven't started dating yet, or have you? I need more info.

Ok, this is the "second" time I'm stating the fact that:

I saw this TOPIC FROM MSNBC.com!

This is NOT my own experience!

Not if you don't wanna lose your friend (and no matter what they say). Actually, it's uncomfortable for everybody involved IMO. I wouldn’t do it.

I wouldn't do it if you want to keep the friend. He might be cool with it now, but that could change based on his circumstances.
