You'd be surprised! Some of my friends think they won't mind being a one night stand - and then they do. Don't get me wrong - I see nothing wrong with sex with no strings attached. I just think that more people think they are capable of it than actually are.
I am totally on board with this. I think this happens to women more than men, but I can tell you as a guy I fell very hard for someone I had casual sex with and the whole mess ended up hurting me very badly . Even if you've had casual sex before with no apparent ill effects, that doesn't mean you won't get hurt the next time. You never know.
Why do men do this ? My girlfriend was just telling me about how she just found out that her boyfriend cheated on her with while she pregnant with his twins (she found some old pics in his drawer). She said back then she thought something was going on because he was very distant her entire pregnancy. That is truly gut wrenching since he wanted her to get pregnant in the first damn place...I really want to slap the bastard
Some men cheat on their pregnant wifes/girlfriends because they can't have sex with them for 9 months.
I've seen this a lot (in my family and acquaintances). I think many men are afraid to admit they don't get turned on by pregnant women so they have to look for some action on the sideline. It might be hard to go for so many months without getting aroused at home.

i think its worst when you are pregnant and you get cheated on, because now you are really stuck because you are carrying his kid and sure you can leave him but you will be stuck raising it alone

What you don't realize is, many men find their pregnant wives MORE ATTRACTIVE than ever.
Those cowardly men who cheat on their pregnant wives don't do it for the sex.
They do it out of fear or ambivalence about the pregnancy and of all the changes going in in their lives that leave them feeling out or control.
