A major problem would be suffering from severe depression. Or having kids at all. Or weird hang-ups about things (I actually dated a girl who got angry at me for laughing in a movie theater during a comedy, because she said it embarrassed her when people she's with laugh in public; I asked, it isn't my laugh is it? I don't think I laugh that loud, she said no, and she agreed I don't have a loud laugh or anything, it's just that she hates people laughing AT ALL when it's in public, and I said you need to get over it because this is a comedy and we're here to have fun and laugh, that's the point, I'm sorry you have weird issues but see a shrink or something).
That woman sounds like she has some mega issues. I mean, that is way more serious than my hang-up with height.

One more thing I forgot to add about the damsel in distress persona...other women can smell that crappy actress out in a New York minute...

She was a weird chick honestly. She also had the other main type of hangup I cannot tolerate: sexual hangups. I've dated enough of those girls. I just can't do it anymore.

See, when I think of a "Damsel in Distress" I think of little fakers who are trying to move in on other womens husbands...I have not met one that had a legit problem except for issues with married men... the girls you describe are strange, to say the least..

She didn't want you to laugh during sex in public?

LOL, no I'm not much of a PDA guy myself. I guess holding hands is fine but the whole making out in public thing bothers me. That girl had a few qualities I really like, for instance she was affectionate and hands-on, which I enjoy, that's kind of nice, especially since I go long periods of time without any physical contact with anyone, so it can be kind of nice. But in the sex department she was boring. Let's just say a lot of girls have hangups about going downtown, except to shop, and that's not the downtown I'm talking about.

I don't know, if a girl is going through your refrigerator and unwraps something in tinfoil then puts it back thats ok right....maybe her downtown tastes are just....I don't know....more uptown.

lol, for me I can't date a girl who has hangups about that. It just won't work out, we won't be compatible at all. Too prude for me.

Damsel in Distress, huh?

First thing or chick that came to mind:

Scarllete O' Hara.

"Oh, Reigh! Oh Ash-leh!"

One of the best profiles I have seen while dating lately was a gal that quite bluntly laid out that she has had some tough times in the past but is independent and doing well with her kids. She says she doesn't need money, or to be rescued etc. but could use a partner.

I'm really looking forward to our first date.
