I'm singing with the choir on cheating. To me, it's not just about the physical contact with someone else. It's more you've proven yourself untrustworthy. If you can't follow through on your promise of fidelity, can I trust you regarding anything else you gave you word on?

Oh, and the physical abuse thing goes without saying (whether it's me or my pets.)

If we're talking about a boyfriend, I'd say cheating, major lying, major anger issues, abuse would be deal-breakers.

For me, within marriage it would be much more complicated. I made a promise for life, and I don't remember saying anything like "unless you do something that I don't like." Abuse of me or our children would make me go back on my promise. If he were willing to work through other things with me, though, they would not necessarily be deal-breakers.

Talking I have heard it said that...

marriage is when two very young people, who hardly know each other, promise to know how they'll feel for each other for the rest of their lives. Maybe that's why the divorce rate is so high? Sites like this are very interesting because they give you insights, with no risk, regarding how many morons of both sexes are out there. Can save you a lot of time as you learn to recognize an idiot right off the bat!!!

Unforgivable? Hmmmm.... Oh...I know! When my husband does not replace the toilet paper in our second bathroom down the hall.
I go in to take care of business, thinking there is still toilet paper under the cabinet, and blow me down Charlie...here I am in the middle.... ready to clean up, and nothing to clean up with! Unforgivable!
Another one would be when he pushes the toothpaste in the middle, instead of from the bottom up. LOL....

Attempt to abuse me, you're out. Get between me and my family, you're out. Try to change my career plans or tell me I can't accomplish them, you're out. And if you cheat of me, you'll get to find out what it's like to be on the wrong end of a gun.

I was watching this moving and the husband kicked the dog to make the wife mad and she just sat there.
Like in The Road Warrior? He loses his wife, kids, home, everything..but he gets really really ticked when the dog gets it!
