Have you ever made a BIG sacrifice for a friend, spouse or other family member?
What kind of sacrifice did you make and how do you feel about the choice you made now?
i.e. Did you give up your family to marry someone they didn't approve of? Did you pass up a big promotion to spend more time at home with the kids? Did you quit your job and move across the country to help your spouses career?
I haven't donated any organs yet (but I did donate my cord when my daughter was born). I did end up abandoning the education path I had set out for myself to appease my now ex husband. What a detour it has been....long story...but no regrets. I have a wonderful life, and I share it with wonderful people. I have learned more in the time since than many learn in their entire lifetime. In fact, still learning today and plan to keep learning till this mortal coil bounces.
I quit my job to date a person I supervised. Job sucked..He still brings me presents for no reason.
No question it was awesome!
Plus I absolutely hated my boss and 5 other people quit after me because they didnt want to work for the boss that we both hated..mwhahaha!
I gave up on my education and career path to marry my now ex husband. While I do not regret the two children we have together, I deeply regret not finishing my education. Had I waited 6 more months I would have a degree that can not be taken away. So instead of making a decent salary I work for $11.15 an hour. Sure would like the big bucks about now.
I don't think I've ever regretted a sacrifice because they were made willingly.
I was JUST about to post the same sentiment...of course yours sounds better!
