I would actually like to have my picture up, and see who I am talking to, but I post way too freely about stuff, and have no intention of some psycho knowing what I look like and what city I live in.
I have my picture(s) up on Facebook because the settings are private, so only people who I accept as friends can see them - and everyone I accept as a friend on Facebook knows me IRL, and I keep my settings private to non friends.
I see people posting their pics on here and then flirting with people, and I worry for them.
So the short answer is, because I don't think it's safe. Which is a shame.
I have plenty of pics posted in my online profiles (match, facebook, myspace) but those sites serve different purposes for me, where pics are often part of the communication process. This is a discussion forum, and I don't really have any reason to have a picture of myself posted here.
I don't have any pictures of myself. Most of the pictures I have are of my hubby and I working on our new property and house and our views.
Maybe it would be fun to "create" pictures for everyone we know here. So many of you seem to know each other very well in "forum" world. Have at it. I think it would be fun.
