I know what you mean. I should cry sometime. I think I've been holding in some feelings.

There's been times I was in a bar, seen an x and started crying. My friends symphathised, and some made fun of me..but months later I felt silly for crying over a jerk. I swear I'll never cry in a nightclub again!

That is not true. We both know you could never "score" with a lady.

I think the phrase "a good cry" is just disgusting, I am sorry it really makes me cringe. I cannot tolerate overly emotional people in general, but I've never seen this from guys I have known closely. I'm sure they are out there. But I see it from girls way too much. This is one reason I love being single -- I cannot deal with that. If someone is crying for no reason, to my mind, she must have some serious issues. Crying is an extreme emotional response, like boiling anger, and it shouldn't just randomly arise. I don't get the whole "hormones" thing, jesus, get things under control! I'm sorry if that sounds insensitive but who wants this in their lives? At least a girl could be a little bit more proud and a little less shameless -- if you feel this way, excuse yourself from anyone else's view, go to a bathroom and hide out, go to your friends' house and eat ice cream and watch Grey's Anatomy, I don't care, but don't bother me with it. It's just not something I can understand at all as a guy and the more a girl makes me feel awkward and makes my life complicated with her emotional baggage, the less I'm going to want to hang out with her. I've never had any of my guy friends tell me, "God, the other day I was just crying uncontrollably and I couldn't help it, I don't know why." If I heard that I'd first off start laughing hysterically, of course assuming it was a joke (usually poking fun at emotional girls), and if he said he was serious, I would seriously wonder what the heck was going on. I would probably call him a girly douche and tell him to stop being such a little wuss. Guys do not behave this way. I'd like to think and hope there are girls who don't, either.

She could be depressed in which case she needs to see a doctor. You mentioned something about children, how old are they? She could be a little overwhelmed.
