Exactly. Get your head checked if you're over 30 and you like this movie. First off, it's a total piece of s**t as any critic has said. It's terrible filmmaking with cheesy effects from a bad director. The director was so bad, and called an "irrational female," and was fired from the sequel because of that, hahaha. Figures.

The best review I read: "OMG -- I am so totally not a teenage girl!"

Seriously, if your tastes are the same as a teenage girl, there's a problem. It's about a vampire who is really old who basically gets with a teen girl, and apparently this is a teenage girl fantasy?! Some older guy snatching her up and "making her his"? Wow, that's really pathetic. Really, really sad.

Twilight is for little girls, not for grownups.
When it comes to movies about high school teenagers, give me "Fast Times At Ridgement High" over "Twilight" anyday.

One good thing about the movie and books: it has brought out some of the most hilarious and entertaining snarks

"This is basically how it goes.
1. She spends part of the book obsessing over why he hates her. Then obsessing over him when he likes her.
2. She obsesses over the fact that he's gone and mopes the entire book.
3. She whines because she wants to be a vampire.
4. They finally **** and you realize how pathetic and boring both of the characters are."

And:

"Twilight is easy to summarize.

Girl meets sparkly vampire, fall in sparkly love, have sparkly abstinence because sex outside of marriage isn't sparkly. Have sparkly angst, sparkly stalking, sparkly obsessive controlling behavior for three books, then have sparkly marriage followed by sparkly sex which results in sparkly (and gory) pregnancy. Ex-boyfriend falls in love with sparkly baby.
The end.

Moral: ethically, morally and legally objectionable actions are ok if they sparkle."

".....just because it's big, long and sparkles, that doesn't mean it will be good."

Whatever movie a girl tries repeatedly to trick me into watching I make it a point to avoid. So far the two on my list are twilight and the notebook. I saw the preview and broke out laughing, I flipped open to a random page of one of the books and broke out laughing, horrible in my opinion. Bear Grylls book "the kid who climbed everest" is written better, even with at least a few mispellings per chapter and some periodically awkward senteance flow.
