You are NOT alone. I can't tell you how many times I am walking down the street and just random people try to poke me in the eyeball. It's like, touch your own eyeballs please.
Damn, good thing you folks told me! Stupid me would never know she's in danger of somebody reaching for her eyeballs.
I just thought of an interesting topic. For men or women, are there places on your body that you'd rather not have touched?
I'll give an example: For me, I don't like to be touched from the shoulders up, meaning I don't like it when guys rub or kiss my neck or ears. and I don't like my face touched. Just a wierd quirk, anyone care to chime in?
I HATE having my face touched......I dont know where your hands have been....Im obsessed with having a clean, clear face. Hands are dirty.
But where did this phenomena of huggy men come from? What happened to the manly handshake and the pat on the shoulder? It kind of weirds me out.
It's interesting how cultures deal with the concept of "personal space." If you have relatives in Southern Europe, you know that, as you get off the plane, they will hug and kiss you, regardless of gender, and it only means "good to see you." I'm not put out by it, but wouldn't do it in North America.
My answer: I don't like being touched on my sides, around the waistline, when it's done suddenly.
you mean in a casual, public setting, or romantically?
