All time great quote...from Paul Newman....about why he never strayed from his wife. (And we all know how much he could have!)

"Why have a hamburger when you have steak waiting for you at home?"

While I like Paul Newman and admire his long marriage, there are skeletons in the closet regarding how it started - by wrecking another one.

Well, if somebody is in the movie biz, there's a 99.9% chance of them cheating or helping somebody else cheat at one time or another. The adoring fans, the sense of omnipotence, and the continual presence of attractive, well-spoken, powerful people means you really have to be extremely well-grounded to not succumb to temptation at one time or another.

I'll go on record and admit that I've wandered from my relationship before. Although, the option doesn't quite fit right - mine is more "yes, and I had neutral feelings about it"

The relationship had deteriorated to the point that it was more plantonic than a real relationship; but, we were both in a position where we couldn't move on with our lives right away. The opportunity of someone I was extremely attracted to came up, and I took the opportunity. The person of interest was NOT a relationship prospect, so I wasn't going for the "greener grass," it was just a casual fling. I don't feel guilty about it; my relationship was virtually over, just had loose ends to get tied up, but we were technically still together.

And yes, I've been cheated on before. At the time I was upset. As I have gotten older and reflected back, I have accepted my role in the downgrade of that relationship and now understand how the circumstances came about.

What if I cheated, but they didn't deserve it and I did not feel guilty?
So, I couldn't vote.
Cheating for me, is sex...no emotional connection...just getting some new booty once of twice.

The question is... WHAT causes people to cheat??

Besides just being a horny toad... are there justifiable reasons?
