Austin
Providence
Boston
Chapel Hill

I've spent a fair amount of time in each. I put Austin first because of the weather & the guys. I mean the city itself & the music scene - all very cool - but there's just a lot of gentlemen in Austin! Also seems like a greater range of ages & niches when you are looking for a night out.

I put Providence ahead of Boston because it's a bit cheaper than Boston (not by much, but hey it adds up!), but still close enough to Beantown when you need a fix. Plus the Rhode Island School of Design just keeps churning out this amazing talent that I think, for you, would be so great to be around. I was surprised by Sportsfangal's statement regarding lack of diversity - I thought it seemed to be pretty good 'eclectic' mix of everything! Maybe just my individual experiences, I guess.

I agree with others about Chapel Hill. I love the area but think it would have to fall last on your list when compared to such great "singles" towns like Boston & Austin!

hmm..there's a surplus of men in Austin...I hear good things about them....and I'd be more likely to find a cowboy in Texas too...maybe I should move there! Thanks for this info!

yeah this thread is old, but more or less Austin is an amazingly vibrant little city that's been growing like crazy and now even has a nice skyline that can almost hang with Dallas. I can't say enough good things about that place. But more or less, Chapel Hill and Raleigh are great...but the man:woman ratio is heavily tilted towards a female dominant population. I'd say that UNC is heaven for men, a quick google search and I even have proof of that through this article: NY Times Advertisement

Any girl looking to play the numbers game simply needs to head out west. The reverse is true for guys.
