How many of you guys would do that? It's also noted he placed Cox infront of Mohr instead of it the new name being at the end. Cox Mohr instead of Mohr Cox.

Any of you met Craven Morehead?

Too funny. Nah...I'm one of the old school I guess. I prefer the traditional way of taking on a spouse's name - not combining (either his or hers - no matter)...it's nice to continue a name though the generations. I kept my maiden name when I got married, but a few years after having my son, the complexities of different names was enough that I decided it wasn't worth it. My son and I now have the same last name, and I wouldn't even consider changing it until he's out on his own. And if everyone created new names when they got married...good grief...what a mess that would be!

The mayor of LA adopted his wife's name. He is hispanic, don't know if it is a culture thing.

I personally wouldn't take my wive's name, nor do I have a huge expectation for her to take my name.

Her last name is Diaz, I like that better than Stewart.

My ex's Commanding Officer and his wife both changed their last names to a hyphenated version "his-hers" (It barely fit on his uniform) My ex thought he was nuts for doing that. I personally can't imagine it's possible to marry a guy whose last name is worse than the one I've already got, so I'll happily change my name if/when I get married. I'd love to be a Smith, or a Williams, or something normal.
