is there any romance in Art?
ok this is a question that i have always wanted to ask on this forum. So ok, i sometimes draw pictures of women that i speak to online and i upload it and send it to them, yet i never seem to get any reaction from them at all. It is somewhat disheartening because i only mean it as a friendly gesture, and to try to make an effort- if nothing else. What would you think if someone drew a picture of you and sent it to you? Is it something that i should stop doing? do women not appreciate these type of things?
here is some of the artwork that i have drawn and sent- i have only three of them saved on the computer.

If they don't know you, they don't know that you're not just some obsessed [fill in the blank]. Seriously, think about all the horror stories you hear about originating from online. Give them a break. Do that for someone you know well, personally. That would be awesome coming from someone you're close to.

To be perfectly honest, I think that the women don't know how to react. Of course, the appropriate response is, "Thank you". But if someone doesn't like something and they don't want to hurt your feelings, they won't respond.

There's romance in whatever the people involved happen to appreciate and share. It's all very subjective, there are no universal rules.

Personally if I knew you well, someone I called a friend then the response would be thank. I would be even flattered. On the other hand if I barely knew you, I would be a little freaked out by the idea of someone staring at a photo of me.
