Exactly what is dating outside of your race? (Christian, love, children)

I was just reading another thread about why one chooses to date outside of their race.

Is it because white boys taste like chicken?

Is it because of where you grew up?

No matter. I couldn't get past the first page, headache. It did get me to wondering, though.

What is dating outside of your race?

Maybe out of your heritage, I do not know.

I will give myself as an example. I know that I will probably be attacked, I am so used to it by now so what the heck, right?

Pikantari looks to be a white female. Am I though? I guess I am. Here is what I know.

I have German, Dutch , Norwegian and American Indian going on here. So what am I?

My SO is Syrian and German. What is he?

Am I dating outside of my race? You can look at him and look at me and our skin is not the same.

I mean to say....

For instance, African American. There are all different hues. When my children were growing up we never really used the terms black and white. So lets say two African Americans are dating.

One is chocolate and the other is caramel.

This is sort of comparable to he and I. His skin is considerably darker than mine with what is like an olive type complexion. The Syrian, no doubt. But there is also the German.

Am I dating outside of my race? Is he white? Is he Arabic?

Does it matter? I don't think so but there are so many posts on the subject.

Why did I choose him? Well, we got along well in the beginning and had things in common with one another. I came to love him. His skin? I think its pretty.

Now, something I would actually be more concerned with is religion in a couple. Beliefs. We are both Christian. That works. Were one of us a non-believer it would not.

I know I have jumped all over the board with this post, but if you get what I am saying, what are your thoughts?

Aye yay yay!!! Way too complicated for my little pea-size brain! I would say dating outside my race would be to date a Martian. The whole inter-galactic thang. I have to draw the line at dating anyone from Uranus though - I DO have my standards!!!

How is it that the interracial dating topic gets dredged up time...and time...and time...and time...again? Why, why, why? Shouldn't there be a CD rule about starting ANOTHER friggin thread on this tired, cliched, beating-a-dead-horse issue?

My SO and I enjoy a certain SciFi program on the BBC. We like to joke that they show girl-on-girl/boy-on-boy/boy-on-alien/alien-on....you get the idea.

I think it has something to do with your stamina. I mean does one who competes in 300 m race date one who has completed 400 m ? Just one of lifes mysteries.
