dating rules (girlfriend, women, love, single)

i am just so confused with the dating rules...though I know where no "rules"when it comes to dating, I just want to get some common sense on dating, any comments would be greatly appreciated.

- is that common to have sex on the 3rd date (1st date- coffee; 2nd date- dinner and goodnite kiss)?

- if a guy asks the date to his place, does it mean he wants to have sex? also does the girl send out the signal she wants to if she goes to his place?

-if a guy asks the girl to be his girlfriend on the 3rd date, does it mean that he just wants to have sex with her or he is really into her and means it?

- how can you tell if a guy loves you and wants to have a future with you or just wants to have sex and tells what you want to hear to get it?

The longer you want the relationship to last, the longer you should wait for sex. Not indefinitely, just until you are comfortable that both of you want the same thing.

If she goes that means she's open to sex, but it's NEVER a done deal until you do it. Also, NEVER go to a guy's place until you know him very well.

The more dates you go on, he more interested he is.

You are very wise to be cautious.

If he really does love you and wants a future with you, he'll wait until you are sure he's being honest. Guys are NOT above saying "I love you" to get sex. They know those words are what women who wait before having sex are waiting for.

I'm not sure if there's any "common" approach to this. I mean, this is totally individual. Do it when you are comfortable. I will say, if its put off too long without any explanation, some guys may begin to wonder where the relationship is going (if anywhere), but again, this is totally individual.

Absent further elaboration, YES.

Example:

If I say "hey babe, instead of going out tomorrow, why don't you come over and I'll make dinner and we can watch a movie?" that generally means what I Said - I want to do a dinner + movie at home date.

If I say after we go out or after we meet in a club "let's get out of here and go back to my place," I want to have sex with you.

Again, assuming the second scenario above, YES. That doesn't mean you can't back out of course - but if you know you don't want to have sex, don't go to the guy's place.

Depends on the guy, I guess. Some guys are into misleading I suppose, but for me personally, I'd never "ask a girl to be my gf" if I wasn't serious about that. I guess I would say, if you trust the guy so little that you don't know if he's serious about the gf thing or not, you probably aren't ready to be his gf, and should answer "I could definitely see this relationship going that direction soon, but I'd like that we just date and get to know each other a little longer first."

That's hard. You have to date him long enough to get to know him for real. Course some guys, such as myself, are not into misleading. For example, presently I'm looking for casual sex, so I'm not going to lie and lead someone on if they want a relationship. That's not all guys though, unfortunately.

Depends on how he feels about you. I would be worried if he were trying to rush you into the sack.

Now, in my single days, I got around. I freely admit this, and am not particularly proud of it either. But I didn't lie to get it, either. I didn't say, "I love you," or anything like that.

But when I met Mrs. CPG, I decided that I needed to slow things down. In fact, after six weeks of dating, she was the one to do the wild thing, while I was the one holding off. Definitely a strange situation for me to be in, since I have a 450-hp, fuel-injected libido. But I'm glad I did.

I say, as a guy, do not even touch the girl. Let her initiate the contact. Guys need to stop being so clingy and present themselves as a challenge. Challenge in the girl's eyes = mystery? They start asking... "Why isn't this guy all over me like the other hundred I dated." ; )

so im just curious, if the girl wants to wait for a long time, say1 yr before having sex, how does a guy satisfy himself sexually/physically if he thinks the girl is the one? I don't know if it is possible for guys to live a life without sex
