Freeway onramps. I am always very tense whether I'm driving or a passenger. The really weird thing about this is that I can go on any roller coaster or thrill ride. I don't have a problem with heights either. But, something about a curving on-ramp that goes up in the air gives me the willies.

Yes, there are good reasons to be attracted to such a profession. Just as there are very good reasons for some prominent problem-solvers around here to disperse handfuls of advice all the time and on all topics. Hi, cpg. I do own more than 5 self-help books, but I'm somehow not tempted to spread wisdom constantly with a voice of authority and cover every genre imaginable to boot.

I'm afraid of not being afraid of anything and people like me.

I have a real dislike of balloons. I CAN blow them up, but they will be half the size of everyone else's to ensure that they won't pop while I'm holding them.
Kids with balloons freak me out. Especially if they are rubbing them and it makes that screeching 'I'm about to pop' noise.
My palms go sweaty and heart rate goes up when I see that!

I have also developed a real hatred of mice, since we did a big renovation project and had a mouse family move in. I am a semi clean freak, so living in a mess because of the renovation, and then having mice just about finished me off.

OMG, you just reminded me. When I was about 10 or so I watched a horror movie where these porcelain dolls flew around and did something(?) bad. I don't remember exactly what it was. Anyway, I had a porcelain doll in my room. I took it out and hid it in my mother's room. It never came back into my room.

Just blame the dog. Get one if you don't have one.

[quote=carlitasway;6878708]My husband has to open cans of biscuts for me if he's home. That unexpected pop just scares the crap out of me. If he's not home- if someone was around to record my face while doing it, they'd probably become famous posting it on youtube.

lol. Thats pretty quirky!! Thanks for the laugh- it brightened my day.
