The Bachelor in regards to relationships
Does anybody watch reality TV and The Bachelor or Baccalaureate?
It is sad that those people actually believe that is how people find a mate.
Over 21 women living together and dating the same man are expected to get along and be friendly.... that is crazy.
I personally wouldn't be ok knowing the man I was dating was going out with 21 other women that I also happen to know .... lol
The current Bachelor has a son but seems to only be using him to appear like a really nice well rounded guy.....in other words "keeping up appearances".
Most of the relationships haven't even lasted for too long after the show had ended either ..... so the success rate is pretty low.
I also see relationships and dating in real life being more of a competition similar to that of the TV show.... so perhaps people are learning and imitating their behaviors from reality tv shows...thinking that is how relationships should form...
anyways, I'm bored and interested in your thoughts

Yeah, life's all about smooching with different people in the hot spa... I've seen most episodes of the first couple of seasons. Last night caught a glimpse of the new bachelor. He's hot, alright.
The herds of women are soooo pathetic. All these tears, claws, drama are simply disgusting.

I find these kinds of shows just icky and creepy. I keep hoping we've reached the bottom on these "reality" shows, but they just seem to keep coming. It's really sad that so many people are getting their sense of "normal" from any of these shows.

I think they should cast based on a city. The bachelor and final girl may care about each other in the end but picking up your entire life and moving to a new city is a really big risk. After the show they do not know each other in the "real world" setting. They are basically in a long distance relationship. If they lived in the same city they would at least be able to "normally" date after the show and foster a real relationship...this might lead to a higher success rate for the show. Out of all the seasons 1 couple has married and maybe 1 or 2 are still dating. The success rate basically sucks.
The show still pulls in ratings though...and that is all ABC cares about...and I still watch it!

i think those shows are more about competition and being the last one standing. its not about true love, its about being the last one eliminated. pure garbage.
its a contest. contestants or viewers who think otherwise are only fooling themselves.

If you DVR the Bachelor you can watch the non-boring parts of the show in about 30 minutes versus 2 hours! DVR is the best.

I tend to watch TV shows I like. Of course there is the following quote "the average Howard Stern fan listens for an hour and a half a day, the averge Howard Stern hater listens for 3 hours, how can that be? Most common answer given: they want to hear what he'll say next"

I think women go on there with the idea that they will become famous and then become an actress or singer. Since so many reality tv contestants become A-List actors and actresses.

I agree that stuff is just pure garbage.
Makes me embarrassed for the people on the shows.
