Be furious that my gaydar had let me down! Seriously I would be furious - just as if he had gone off with another woman. No different, apart from feeling like a fool for not having noticed.

I do think that being gay is 'normal' and nothing to be ashamed of. I also see no harm in it being shown on the tv - there is no need for it to be hidden away IMHO.

From the site itself, he "has a crush on a cute boy from film class".

No where was this a discussion about him wanting sex or even envisioning sex. Most would extract from that bit of info that he is gay - and it is controversial, but it's also obvious and not about sex.

It seems as though many people think being gay is just about sex. Being homosexual is NOT just the sexual orientation, it's the emotional and mental orientation towards members of the same gender as well.

Honestly, sometimes I think some people think homosexuals are just straight people who want to have kinky sex.

If you are heterosexual, do you spend all your time thinking about having sex when you are with your partner/wife/husband?

Aren't you attracted to other qualities that aren't about sex but are about their gender and who they are as a person? The way they think or act or how they react emotionally? The cheeky twinkle in their eyes when they smile at something funny you've said or done? Just talking with them etc?

It's no different for gay people.

The fact is, there is a certain percentage of the population who are homosexual. There always has been, always will be. Many know from a young age that they are "different" in some way to the majority of other kids, even if they are too young to know what IT is. They wouldn't be thinking about sex any more than heterosexual kids do.

They're not in the business of "addressing" issues; they're in the business of creating them.

No offense to 'PassTheChocolate', but has anyone else noticed that the theme of this thread and that handle are just a little too weird?
