Default Gay children on television

I am all pumped up about the new show, United States of Tara, premiering on Showtime tonight. I read up on the cast, it turns out that Tara's son, Marshall, has a crush on another boy in class. Then there's Justin, from Ugly Betty who, on the cast write up, is "more fit for fashion world than she is".

TV has changed a great deal. I applaud them for addressing the issues. What are your thoughts?

Yeah, I thought Ugly Betty's nephew is cute and I was proud of the producers for being progressive.
I have a younger cousin who has ALWAYS been on the feminine side. I'm not going to make any assumptions about his sexual orientation but I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be gay.

Agree. Another reason why the Gay Ban in California passed. I think there is a lot of tolerance in this country, but when Hollywood continually forces this upon everyone, then things like the ban is what you end up with. Who is Hollywood kidding to portray this as normal? It is anything but normal, an exception.

"Progressive"? "Issue"? Please. I'm fine with tolerance, but please, don't try to force people to accept it.

I don't know how a child could be gay at the ages they claim--as young as four from what I've heard. I certainly didn't think about sex as a child, not in the context that I desired it. This, to me, is proof that some homosexuality cases can be cured--yes, cured--with testosterone or estrogen treatments.

Are all four of you against gay adults?

Or do you think that the idea of gay children is ludicrous?
