The song brick house referred to a woman with the measurements of 36-24-36 as a brick house.

Just saying..........

Default Curvy vs. Fat

Old thread but I find it fascinating what people consider "Fatty McFatty" and "Curvy." Nitpicking women's bodies has become a science in itself. Most of us ladies would fail, though

I've asked some ppl what does 39 32 43 measurements sound like and most said chubby and overweight, one said "heiffer."
Of course ppl do not think about other's feelings when they say this (the measurements are mine, gasp--am heiffer).

Crystal Renn --attached pic-- has the same exact measurements and we need more role models like her because she is closer to the average woman. And dare I might say, she's gorgeous and curvy too (wait does that mean I actually like my body??lol)

I find it amazing how straight women allow the gay male dominated fashion industry to dictate to them what is and is not feminine, attractive and beautiful.

I can understand the rationale in gay males finding the form reminiscent of a prepubescent boy (no hips, ass, curves) appealing (the ancient Greco-Romans also had a prepubescent male as a sexual ideal for a man).

What is interesting is how straight women (also some straight men) take to heart these perceptions and distort their bodies to fit this "ideal".

I personally am more of traditionalist (like the ancient Venuses found throughout prehistory).

Nothing beats IMO a slim waist with ample hips, behind and thighs.

To me a curvy/thick/voluptuous lady would be roughly size 12-18, with a bust and/or hip size around 40" and a waist somewhere around 30".

Of course, I'm biased since Tone luvs the big gurls!

'Curvy' has become a PC substitute for 'fat.' Fat women do TEND to be curvy in their bottom, legs, breasts, but there are also fat women who would not fit that mould.

These to me, are what I consider to be curvy and voluptuous. There are some that may consider them fat but I can tolerate fat as long as it in the lower body and not in the waist/abdominals. To me women are supposed to be soft and not hard or rippling with muscles anyway.

Exhibit A, B, C with last but most certainly not least (actually one of my favorites) D.

I rest my case.
