I was wondering how long it would take for someone to say this. Of course dating should be face to face. But what if you have a hard time meeting singles worth dating? People lead busy lives with work, school, etc. and don't often have time to meet anyone. That's why tools like eharmony can come in handy. But like online dating sites, eharmony requires patience. Too many people join and quit after a month or two cause they haven't found anyone. That would be like joining a church hoping to meet someone and then leaving after a month because you didn't find that person. People today have no patience. We expect things immediately, whether it's a date, a job, or weight loss. I think anyone serious about meeting someone online should stick with it for a year. That doesn't mean you use that as your only method of meeting people and it doesn't mean you seach the site every day. It just means you keep that option in the background. Most experts suggest giving it a year as well.

i know several people that use it to get their dates. they date exclusively from the site. fit the profile very well, appearance is critical. i would rate these people high on appearance and personality. they seem to handle breakups very well. they also do not seem to be overly upset about misrepresentations. these people i mentioned have significant problems but are functional.

I would rather try dating locally, that way it's a little easier to spot a buster for what he really is, sooner rather than later, imo. But then again, my friend married her new husband that she met on eharm.

I just don't see why you'd return to the scene of the crime? Personally I've had more luck being involved in my community and doing things that interest me when it comes to meeting men who are dating material.

I was really doubtful about the whole online dating thing, but decided to sign up for match while my friend signed up for eharmony. well I met an awesome guy within a month of signing up, and she's still yet to meet anyone cool.
I'm glad I gave it a try after all! Funny, he was the only person I'd ever met online too and it worked out wonderfully.
