I think, speaking personally, there is a hint of truth..... I'd never jump in the sack with someone new with stuble. 'Course... never went on a date without shaving first, either, soooooo.....
That's from a movie, I don't remember the name. The lead female character's best friend advises her not to shave so things won't get out of line.
