ALSO, if you could, what advice would you give the younger you?
"Listen to your intuition, trust your intuition, it is valuable information, the best compass you have, and well worth paying attention to and heeding"
Note to my past self lol
1.Keep your credit looking good, you have no idea how important it will be..
2.Stay in shape!
3.Finish College Get it done and over with in your early 20s, it is harder to do..
When you are older with more bills.
5.Travel as much as you can!
And stay away from crazy girls/bad relationships lol

Agreed. I call this my gut instincts. The better we get at following them the better our lives ultimately turn out to be
I used to look much younger than I am (45), but that has changed recently.
My kids are 11 and 7.
when I was 45 I quit a good job with 3 kids at home 12,7,15, to pursue what I thought was my passion, a totaly unchartered course, today eight years later, I have the choice to go back to the old way I lived or continue in this new path. I am choosing to go back. had I not quit, I would not have a choice today. One thing that helped me was writing my own proverbs, one each day, "The moment is the hinge your future and past swing on, making your future better ,worse or the same ,which you will always see as worse." (people tell me I have'nt aged since)
I have done so many of the things I wanted to do - travelled the world (been to 38 countries according to the flags of countries you've visted that I updated one day when I was bored).
I've lived in 4 different countries for a year or more.
I learned to speak a foreign language fluently. Not a very useful one, but still an accomplishment.
I had an amazing time in college - drank too much, partied too much and dated too many men. Loved every second.
I got a good degree which opened a lot of doors for me career wise.
I've had some great hobbies (horse show jumping and ballroom dancing) and worked really hard at them. Competed at national level in both.
I have done a sky dive/ bungee jump/ zip line.
I have had lots of wonderful friends from all over the world.
I met my husband when I was least expecting it, and whilst getting married to someone from overseas was a risk, I had no doubts and it was easy.
I got really good at my job and made a lot of money (although that has come to a grinding halt at the moment).
I have never made a life decision out of fear - my Mum always told me to feel the fear and do it anyway (think it came from a book). I've always tried to live by that rule.
In fact my main concern now is that I have fulfilled most of my life goals already, so what is there left to aim for? I really hope it is not all going to be down hill from here.
Sorry I know that's a downer, but I'm just in that kind of mood.

You need to be careful, or somebody will claim you're boasting.

You know, I figured I would jump on your bandwagon!!
It's not a very British thing to boast, but I plan to do some more of it - I would say that in moderation it is very healthy. A positive lesson I am learning from the Americans!

Darned tootin'. Hey, a little self-esteem isn't a bad thing, right? By the way, without giving us a street address or telephone number, where in Australia are you? It's Australia, right?
I regret turning down the scholarship offer i got from Johns Hopkins. But I didnt think I could raise my girls and go to med school. Sometimes I think that I should have at least tried. Oh well.
