and, back to OP's original question-- I'll word it as politely as possible: "it doesn't take long for their 'roots' to show"... or, as I've heard it worded "their behavior soon gives them away"... and to me that's an instant turn-off regardless of who someone is, what he looks like, or any other factor

I've been physically attracted to guys who are on "the other side of the tracks" from me, but usually I find it hard to relate to them on a personal level and/or I'm not attracted to them intellectually. Plus they also have to pass the "intuition test" and if someone gives off a weird vibe then my attraction to them will usually drop considerably.
