not only for the boom-chica-ing but it just feels good to spread out on the bed!! kinda sux to buy linen though 'cuz twin linens are so much cheaper!
haha exactly
I just picked up a queen sized inflatable bed because my rickety full sized futon fell apart. Very comfy I must say.
I am the kinda person that moves around a lot and I have had issues with small beds and me falling out of them. Dorm beds were the worst for me because it was a long way down.
lol ... yeah, my husband and i upgraded from a full to king and haven't looked back sense!! the only thing that kind of confuses me though is the box springs look like two twin size box springs. can that be? it boggles my mind that the king feels a lot bigger than two twins put together so how can the box springs be two twins?!
Of course if you put two twin beds together...bada bing- a king size!
As I remember seeing in the show King of the Hill: Hank: "I like my mattress firm and Peggy likes hers extra firm, so its true that opposites attract" when Bobby is surprised to learn that mom and dad's bed is made up of two little beds.
Well I bought a bigger bed to make some room for the pets. Queen. Pets got old and died, I moved, took the full I had in the guest room. At some point I will go to a single but I like the mattress on the full even though I'm not thrilled with the width.
I am under sort of a compulsion to switch sides a lot and have to go from one edge to the other, face out, I hate the middle, hate facing into the middle (don't ask me why, I don't have any other weird compulsions) I think I sort of like facing uphill and beds, no matter how good, seem to slightly dip in the middle rather rapidly.
Anyway - I find that I really dislike all the travel back and forth across the bed. The Queen was awful.
That said - when I think about going to a twin - it does seem a little....monkish...spinsterish....a tad forlorn.
He-he, I haven't had a twin bed since 8th grade and have absolutely no desire to! I've a queen right now and would rather have a king! Unfortunately, it's out of the question - my bedroom is not big enough.
We have a queen sized, and it's just right. Every time we go somewhere and sleep on a king-sized bed, I want to ask my wife, "So. How's the weather over there?"
And futons are just horrible. One of those compromises that sound good in theory but are terrible in practice.
I have a king-sized bed right now. If I had to downsize, it would be to a queen, no smaller. And I'm 5"2. It's nice having a big bed.
And I never heard of anyone enjoying their futon. The people who had futons gave them away to someone else. Too many back problems. Futons are good for high school and college students.

Aaahh, queen is too small to share IMO. I did share it last time, but it felt quite good to have that space back to myself. Of course, at some point you want to share again... We humans are finicky critters...
This thread reminds me of my parents. They had a bed about king size and they were spending the night pretty much on their respective night stands. There was always room for another couple in the middle!
