Unless they flat out told you that you are no longer under consideration, contact them and try to re-schedule. Apologize and take responsibility for the communications mishap.

A while ago, we liked the resume of a person from another city who was moving here. There were delays in interview scheduling and when we tried to contact her, she had disconnected everything and didn't leave a forwarding address. We would have loved to have heard from her to get her new contact information.

They must have liked your resume in the first place, so they may be willing to give you another opportunity.

I missed a testing date for a job by a whole day I got my appt and my Dad's dr's appt mixed up. I drove into the parking lot and looked at my paper and there it was.

I called immediately and apologized and there was another testing date at a different site, longer drive, but I tried to reconcile it as soon as I could.

Just push the wall a little bit by trying to reschedule it, if there is a brick wall then back off and forgive yourself, it wasn't meant to be

Great advice, if this is possible...

First of all, have a good cry. Then realize that a mistake isn't a mistake unless you refuse to learn from it. Take the lesson and move on. You cannot change what happened. You can lay a foundation for the future. I'd send a thank you letter to the HR person for the contact you had even if you didn't get the interview. You never know what the future may bring.

Like totally! By the way, love your moniker...wish I'd thought of it first.

I'm feeling better today. I screwed up and will NOT let it happen again.

Thanks everyone again for your support!

Well, have you learned from it? If so, it wasn't wasted.

I think your astute to understand what your feeling is the need to forgive yourself. I had something happen to me just Friday where I keep kicking myself over being so stupid and I need to do the same thing. However I am the kind of person who wants to know why this happened, why didn't I see etc. so I can try to NOT let it happen again, thusly I beat a dead horse and make myself feel worse about it.
