Men don't express their feelings to women because some women are very judgemental and they love to read between the lines on most everything.
Plus, if a man cries too much they appear to be too weak, some women will lose respect for him thinking he is not manly.
Any other questions?
Yes crying at the drop of a hat is kinda wimpy. However not crying at extremely emotional things can be a sign of inability to cope with things. I am saying like deaths, divorces, things that need to be released in order to keep from being a sociopath.
ok I guess this is what I get for being to general with my question.. ok no one wants a guy that is 1 step away from being a woman.. But sometimes they just need to be able to be like you know what? You make me the happest man, or something like your kisses are sweet like strawberries and I can't ever get enough.. you know? that dosen't make you sappy that makes you amazing.. you don't have to do it all the time but unless you are with a hard woman we like to hear these things..
It may be our emotional range isn't on a par with yours. Which has it's advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side we come in handy while your kind are standing on a stool screaming EEEEEEEEK a mouse!
Now that aint fair. my bf doesn't like to open up, but he is the first one on the chair if there is a mouse.... but he is also the first one to get rid of a cockroach so I guess it is even (I hate roaches)

Why is it so hard for men to open up and express there feelings? I mean any feelings! Are they afraid of coming across as not being MANLY?
We have feelings but we're taught not to express ourselves. It starts with out peers, early in life. We're just expected to tough it out. Then as we become adults, women expect men to "tough it out" again by bringing home the bacon and just shutting up and watching tv.
We're not afraid to express our feelings. We just don't want to discuss them ad nauseum.

but sometimes it is needed.
