Marriage is all about heterosexuals having sex. If you get married and have sex, procreate and raise kids you have consummated a marriage.

Once you are too old or sick to have sex, you usually will die soon.

I also think that there are plenty of people that don't have sex drives that don't try to figure out why and if their partner has no sex drive then they just live with it."

Again the implication that a lower sex drive is wrong, broken, something to be fixed and if you don't try to figure it out then its wrong.
Why? There is always a continuum in everything. That a lot of people love sex is reasonably bounded by people who aren't as interested, the ol' bell curve - and they aren't broke! That's just the way they were born. Why is your sex drive the right way to be and everyone who's not as into it as you be made to feel bad?
Screw that.

The key IMO around this whole issue is the libido's of the two people in the marriage. If both have really low libido's no reason why the marriage won't work. That is not common though and often one will have stronger than the other which is where Houston we have a problem.

I just looked at the poll results and I guess that I'm different and that's fine. I just like the idea of knowing that a man is interested in me and that he is just not hanging around for the sex. There's no way of knowing that if sex is put on the priority list and is the absolute necessary first thing, for a healthy relationship and the man insist on it.

Even after marriage, if sex is the only thing of the brain, what's left to talk about?

How are the Astros doing this season?, she asks

I don't know, you wanna have sex?, he asks

Well you love baseball. I thought you'd want to talk about the game, she says.

That may be, but I like sex more. Wanna have sex? Oh man you're so sexy. (sniff sniff of the hair and neckline)

No, now I want to hear your thoughts about the game, she says.

Why why do you have to do that. Can't a guy have a little fun.
Baseball. Why talk about baseball, when we can have sex, instead?, she hasn't said no yet, so there's hope, he thinks.

I would've slipped my mitt into the batters box and whispered- "I hear your favorite player is about to hit a grand slam"

I voted no but of course there are exceptions, a man that is no longer physically capable paired with a women with no sex drive, maybe others.

A women with no sex drive is still physically capable and if her husband still wants it and she loves him will still be intimate.

If I no longer wanted coffee I'd still buy it if my wife wanted it and bring her a cup in the morning
