Quote:
New research shows that, in men, the brain areas associated with handling tools and the intention to perform actions light up when viewing images of women in bikinis.

The bottom line is PEOPLE objectify PEOPLE. I was objectified as a dancer, a bartender, and I'm still objectified.

It's not just men that treat people as "objects". Women do it, too. We're all guilty At least I am

No s---! But isn't that the point? Isn't that why they present themselves as objects, to get the attention they do? Why is this news to them?

I would say that people objectify most people. We objectify the store clerk, the auto mechanic.

When ever we don't "see" people beyond the "role" that in a minor sense is objectifying them.

It's just socially acceptable.

So the next time you deal with someone in a position that you feel is "below" you, take a moment and be there and really acknowledge them.

You'd be surprised at the result.

Agree 100%. Nothing like a hot chick in a bikini to make us mouth breathers pant a little harder.
