My sister in law wouldn't use coupons in a grocery store. She also came from upstate ny but if you met her you'd swear you were talking to somebody who was born and lived in Augusta her whole life...cough cough (phony) cough

My wife would not fathom buying used clothes. However my heroine Kerry Bradshaw would shop in a thrift in a second. I made good money but also worked hard and would ruin clothes, so I was always buying clothes in thrifts. I got deals on things like Roses because I was good friends with flower merchants...I would bring huge bouquets of long stems unannounced to my wife to her work. She would tell her girlfriends "he gets them cheap"

My current girlfriend dresses in a cute hippy/kerry bradshaw way. She loves thrifts...I really like her and am at ease around her...she's down to earth.

Having been married to the beauty queen, 100$ dye job, 60$ every two weeks touch up, shop at the high end grocery "to be seen there" girl...

....finding somebody who is herself, likes herself, and likes you to be yourself is heaven!

but by all means...go for the full price bowling game out of shame...her top end divorce lawyer will really embarrass you in the end!

I think it wouldn't be wise to use a coupon on a first date. The use of the coupon might circumvent any good feelings growing between the two of you. If you're a regular coupon user, the person will find out that out soon enough when you start spending time together.

Lol.. honestly.. I'll just give some more input here.. why the hell not.. I might feel more comfortable if someone were to break out a coupon in front of me. I don't care for pretentious people, in general.. if I'm just getting to know someone.. it's all about connecting with that person and figuring out if they're worth my time or not. Wine and dine me later.. when we agree there's something between us.. until then.. let's just get to know each other :-)

I would definitely use the coupon especially if it is a two fer one deal and explain to your date you can use the savings on a box of condoms.

I don't think there will be any need for condoms, so it defeats the purpose.

I was going to suggest the same thing!

Also - in this economy, could she really blame you for using a coupon? Maybe she's a coupon person, too. I think most people are these days.

I want to know.. why is there so much emphasis being placed on this damn coupon anyway?! Lol.. is every move you make going to be up for critique.. if that's the case.. it's not safe to go anywhere. We're all freaks :-)
