writes: I have been dating an American man for about two years. He is loving, handsome and everything I have ever wanted in a partner. He wants to take the relationship to the next level, which would mean marriage since neither of us can work legally in each other's country. I feel it is too soon to settle down, and wish we had the option of living together before tying the knot.
We are both in our mid-20s. Also, I would like to travel abroad with friends, which he supports. He admits that he is terrible at long-distance relationships and does not know if he can wait a year or two before being together. I am worried he might end things if I don't make a firmer commitment to him. I also worry about regrets and everything I can still experience before marriage.
Should I do my best to reassure him about my intentions, or is this a lost cause?

What is wrong with a guy asking for a commitment?

Accept that if you are a man, you're always wrong and it’s always your fault.

With enemies like I've accumulated on the net, who needs friends?
