Sounds pretty silly, huh? That is my reaction to these "Why do men/women blah, blah, blah..." threads. I skimmed through one that was shut down because it turned ugly, as they usually do, because people project their inadequacies and emotional damage onto the entire population.

I'm not saying these people are at fault for their SO's behavior, or their inability to get a date or whatever they perceive as being the world's fault. They could be the problem. And if they're not, they should, for their own sake, accept that it is what it is and move on.

It's so much easier, and lazier, to condemn an entire gender than it is to examine the situation, acknowledge their contribution or lack of control over the problem and fix it. Instead, everyone around them has to pay for someone else's issues. Yay.

JMHO.

I have had some REAL idiot men in my life, however I am the one who had the poor judgement to let them in. Whatever bad they did to me, they did it because I didn't see the red flags.

In spite of everything I have been through, I believe there are good men out there, the problem is with me, I just don't have the knowledge and understanding to seperate the idiots from the good guys.

When you marry someone who sits on the microwave, chewing his toenails while he is glued to the Wii, you have to ask yourself why you thought that was going to change after the ink dryed on the marriage license.

WWJD? He'd probably say, "Shut up and deal with it. There are a lot of people in the world who have real problems, problems such as cancer or the loss of a job or hunger or the death of a loved one. Now go apply some basic common sense to how you live your life while I go heal a leper. THAT'S somebody who really deserves my sympathy."
