Why not?It is a option open to any of us men included. If you have something that really is bothersome it may be the cure.I have a few moles, and am thinking alot about getting them taken care of.I have acne scars on my nose,I could take care of them.
I have grey hairs coming out,I dye the hair and it takes years off me,I look in the mirror I feel better and I don't get razzing from friends like "dude you are starting to look like the wicked witch of the east"
It all depends on how much you want something changed if you aren't comfortable with it,and if anything that is being respectful for yourself.

I don't think that normal men "settle" for normal women any more than we "settle" for normal guys. We normal women should feel good because we don't have to have our bodies surgically altered for a man to find us attractive.
This I can understand, but well, maybe I'm too optimistic or hopeful with people I have't met, but there are lots of normal looking people with nasty personalities and a lot of gorgeous people, men and women with equally gorgeous personalities... and while yes, they may not be a majority, they aren't rarities either. There are lots of good looking nice people. The point is, I don't think that I should feel like I'm better than good looking women only because maybe I make up for it in the personality department, when they may have great personalities too.

Yes, "beautiful" women may have great personalities, but at the end of the day we are all humans, we all have insecurities, none of us is perfect. We should feel good because we are who we are and someone cares about us the way we are (warts and all)

A make-over and some cosmetic surgery is the norm these days. Nothing to be ashamed of, like lionking has graciously pointed out.

Because the question was, "How can I LOVE my body," not, "How can I CHANGE my body." Therefore, the suggestion implies that a person's body can be inherently unlovable.

I won't say I love my body... it most certainly is different than it used to be
it is what it is...and my husband loves me so do my kids and grandbabies.. and my dogs think I am god....I accept that this is me....and by accepting..that means I think I am ok
And I like my white, not gray hairs....which are coming in at an alarming rate....I do believe I have earned every SINGLE one of them!!!!
And surgery? No friggin way... I have taken care of my mom after both of her facelifts/peels and her 1 tummytuck/lipo....
I would give birth to 10 babies and pass 30 kidney stones rather than have myself sliced, sucked, peeled....
