no they remarry. its not the people count its the marriage count.
its 50% 1st time around 67% 2nd time around.
people count is --- 25% single alone, 30% married with kids 25% married no kids, the rest living with kids or SO or both. 42 million divorces since 1975 -- 75% filed by women. guys see the attorney b4 not after.
no marriage should ever occur w/o prenup --- binding arbitration and no debt can be mine w/o my signature should be on every one.
you are right singles market is brutal for over 50. trouble is caveat emptor replaced quid pro quo

I once tried reverse psychology and wrote an ad saying "Large pocked faced bucktoothed dimwit looking for the love of her life. Works as a toilet cleaner."

How can anyone remarry? Who are they marrying? I haven't met any single guys who even want to date. They say they want to be free and not have a woman. I have tried online dating and they just want to be "online friends."

Of course you can. Recycling is good! It's green! It fills up the dating pool... if you don't mind some algae that is... But hey, algae is green, too!

I wouldn't say "given up" but I've become indifferent, hence my stance in being "my own best friend" at this time...

Right now I am in sorrow mode because of my recent breakup with my ex, but I sure as hell hope I don't remain in sorrow mode the rest of my life. Its like I know I shouldn't think of him, but I still do, and I won't let anyone into my heart just yet. But all along I am just wishing the sorrow will leave and I will love again. Thats what keeps me going, even though nobody measures up just yet, I hope and I pray that will change soon.
