lol. I know people like that. It gives me a major headache especially when they're speaking paragraphs and my ears begin to congest. I would suggest breathing more often between sentences and talking LESS with your diaphram and more with your throat.

I have the opposite problem, which can be just as frustrating b/c people are always asking me to repeat what I just said, or they get tired trying to hear me at a party and just drift off. I used to substitute teach school and at the end of the day my voice was often shot from trying to cool the little monsters. I guess I'd rather have my problem though.

How do I control this?? I try to lower my voice but it just go back up and then i just get frustrated and don't feel like talking. Any tips out there so that I can start being aware of my loudness?

imma just find other loud people so that we can be loud to our hearts content.

Most chattery women I've seen in this world are loud, and just plain annoying. Sometimes I just wish I had a huge Acme "shut up" trigger action punching glove like in the cartoons.

I also have no idea what being loud has to do with the relationship thread either btw....

WHAT???
hah
My husband the drummer has perfect hearing..he was anal about protecting his hearing when he was on the road even when he plays now he always has ear protection on....however, OMG... he listens to the friggin TV SO loud....
I think it's because he's used to having to zero in on sounds with no distractions....
Even when he's on his cell he's loud....otherwise he's normal sounding/speaking....
The rest of us are not loud and can watch TV without drowning out all the noise in the world.....
I mumble as payback

I'm not loud, but I had a roommate once and you'd think she was deaf! She turned up the TV so loud a couple of times that our neighbors called the police.

I've also decided that nightclubs blare their music at high decibels so that even non-drinkers will imbibe to mute the sound! It's an evil plot...!

No , I'm really quiet and often asked to repeat things.

I think having a fiance ( and his family ) who is loud has made me even quieter. The louder the people or the environment the quieter I become. I am also rather socially awkward with groups of people ( absolutely fine with 3 or 4 people but no more), and very shy and I hate noise so I can retreat into myself in social occasions... I guess I am by nature a loner really and loudness just bothers me.
