My daughter was practicing her piano this afternoon and I said "You sounded great! You know the saying 'Practice makes perfect'!"

And she responded " My teacher says 'Practice makes progress'!!"

The PC police already have her in first grade

Oh no, the dreaded PC police. I had words with one once, friendly, yet icy on her part, over the use of the term jungle gym. She had absolutely no clue as to its origins as a mechanism to provide children with a real world model of the Cartesian coordinates and that the term and the monkey bar term were not pejorative, rather reflecting the behavior of monkeys as they played.

Some terms are bad, but referring to something as a "playground structure," just does not have the same level of joie de vivre for a child as emulating a creature whom they find entertaining and fun, while at the same time enjoying some practical learning and getting some good physical exercise.

Now, will you be reported to the PC police and have to go to school for a conference for using banned terms?? LOL Do the parents get detention??
