I have sex on first dates, it just kind of happens.
The way I look at it is that if she is really into you she will have sex with you on first date. If not then she probably isn't that interested in you so you better move on and find someone who is compatible with you.
Why waste time? If the love-making is no good what is the point in a relationship?

I have never had sex on the first date. Infact for the last 25 years I have only had sex while in commited, long term relationships. I would not judge anyone though. It is not my place. I am sure I have done things in my life that other ppl haven't and that they would consider immoral or whatever.
My younger sister had sex upon first meeting someone once. I remember telling her that now he is probably never going to see her again and he probably lost respect for her. Boy did I eat my words, they have been married for 7 years. He is so inlove with her still today as he was then. So, I guess you never know.....
This is exactally why (besides fear of disease, or if you don't know the person, they could turn out to be psycho) I don't have sex for awhile, fear of abandonment. I was taught men only want 1 thing so if you give it to them, what reason do they have 2 C U again? I thought you were supposed to wait to have sex until the man was attached to you so he wouldn't disappear afterwards, but clearly from my own situations, that thought is missing something.
Yeah, all the above you metioned, disease & abanndonment are my top reasons for not doing that right away.
Some ppl say that if they are going to leave you, they will leave regardless of wheather you have sex with them or not. Probably true, but, why should I give him a piece of my soul to take away with him.
My first date after divorce from 20 yr marriage got me in trouble. We stayed out till almost 2 AM. We pulled up in her driveway (still living at home with mother) and she was mad because I didn't "do" anything! My hand did disappear inside her shirt with no opposition, but was afraid I would make her mad if I tried anything else. Worked out just the opposite! lol
