Couple Celebrates 80 Years Of Marriage.

Marriage Started During Coolidge Presidency

LUBEC, Maine -- Kathleen and Waldo Tarbell have a big anniversary to celebrate Saturday -- their 80th.

The Maine couple married in 1927, during Calvin Coolidge's presidency.

They will celebrate at an anniversary party at the Oceanview Nursing Home, where they share a large room.

I'm not so sure I'd like that. Not that I don't want to be married to DH that long. It's just that I'd be 120 years old! Not sure I could handle that.

What a blessing! But the age thing is a factor...I'd be 106 and my husband would be 113. We'll be happy to make 50 years. One set of my grandparents and one set of my great grandparents made over 50 years.

I got married at 19 and have been married 28 yrs and counting
still got another 52 years to go to catch up...WOW
