I have no idea what's in store for me. But I'm not going to pass up a trip to Sweden, to meet a very nice young lady that loves to hike and fish, and who's favorite time of year is winter! No way...no how...
I am however...a nervous wreck! And I still have 2 1/2 months to go! Ok...time to work...I have a plane ticket to buy. And be warned...I'm still going to visit Florida in December.

Have I mentioned how this forum and it's people simply ROCK! I love you'se guys!

I am engaed to a man 16 years my senior. I'm 36 and he's 53. Our age difference isn't a concern, but alot of people think differently. I say it is not
for others to decide or pass judgement. We love one another and get along wonderfully! He has taken the role of the alpha and it works out fine.

Okay, I'll go out on a limb here. My husband is 17 years older than me. When we first met, I was 28 and he was 45. It didn't seem like a big deal way back then. But as we both get older we have found that we want different things out of life and our interests are very different. What I think is important, he thinks is trivial and stupid. What he thinks is important, I find to be very geriatric. Yes, we are still married, but barely! I understand that age is just a number and if you are happy with each other it's nobody's business. If I had it to do all over again would I hook up with someone so much older than myself? Absolutely not.

Let's face it everyone has a "type" to a certain extent. Some only date redheads, or others like the biker chicks just to list a few. They think it's less threating, some are the enternal bachelors, others were married and went through a mental crisis where they need to feel cool and hip again like they did in their early 20's. So to get this validation again, they normally ditch the 1st wife and go for the young girl. Who they think can easily be persuaded and won't challenge them like a an assertive strong woman. The thing is that the girl could be his daughter, or grandaughter in some instances and they know it. When you see a couple out and about everyone knows thats a "parking meter situation". Those trophy wives are waiting for the guy to put more and more money in, or else they dash when the money expires.

He's starting off in Jacksonville, to Orlando, to Miami, and with a motorhome FULL of great, great people by then, we'll all be heading down to Key West!

Are you on that route?

Well if I can find a motorhome rental...I would be all for a road trip to Key West...but I really do need to stop and ride some killer rollercoaster along the way. Anything else is just bonus material.
